Lavonous Byars / "lavonous' Artistry"

Lavonous Byars is a contemporary visual artist based in Smyrna, Tennessee, celebrated for his bold acrylic abstractions and cosmic-inspired spray paintings. Originally from Decatur, Illinois, his artistic journey began in childhood and was deeply influenced by the calming landscapes of the late Bob Ross. What began as early inspiration evolved into a disciplined pursuit of creative excellence that now defines his professional practice.

Working primarily in acrylic, spray paint, and mixed media, Byars creates visually immersive pieces distinguished by vibrant color palettes, layered textures, and emotional depth. His work has been exhibited throughout Middle Tennessee, including appearances at the Boro Art Crawl and a featured collection at Trellis & Vine. In addition to gallery exhibitions, he has contributed to collaborative mural projects and continues to accept select private commissions.
