Out of my love for animals, I enjoy creating clay animal sculptures. I focus on developing interesting facial expressions and compositions in my sculptures..
I have spent thirty years working with clay which often reflects my career and life in Animal Science. I first learned to throw vessels on the wheel and then began sculpting As an acute observer of animals and their expressions, I invite you to share my joy of sculpting animals and the beauty of nature at my studio in the country. My passion for animals, especially horses, figure dominantly in my work, though I love all animals and sculpt and paint a wide variety, including sheep, goats, rabbits, and even the occasional whale. I have taken sculpture classes over the years, and I love teaching and sharing my passion for clay with my students. I enjoy having the opportunity to give back to the community by demonstrating hand-building and sculpting to children and adults at local events.
