As a child, I created freely. But like so many of us do, I grew up and into doubt, and I lost an important connection to myself. Now, art is simply a lifeline back to me. I want joy and peace and fun and honesty and compassion and presence. I looked for those things outside of myself for a very (very) long time. The colorful and loose abstract style that defines my work invites me look inside and to embrace whatever I find there. I paint a lot of floral and other natural elements because a flower never wonders if it's growing the right way. My goal as an artist is to create like a child, and in doing so, inspire someone else to do the same.
